BIO-PROFILE. SHEIDU OMEIZA MOMOH

 

 

Mr. Sheidu Omeiza Momoh age 58 was born in Okene, Kogi State, Nigeria to the family of Alhaji Eneyamire Momoh and Madam Seriya Momoh both of blessed memory.

 

He went through the following academic institutions that produced his personality. St. Andrews Primary school, Okene; Okene Commercial Secondary School and Odo-ere Commercial Secondary School-Yagba-West; Kwara School of Basic Studies, Ilorin; University of Ibadan, Nigeria; University of Lagos-Nigeria; Nigerian Foreign Service Academy-Lagos, Algonquin College-Ottawa-Canada. He holds Masters' Degree in International Law & Diplomacy from University of Lagos, Nigeria.

 

Mr. Sheidu Omeiza Momoh was employed by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 1983 into the Nigerian Foreign Service. He has served in that capacity at different times in his diplomatic career both in Nigeria and abroad. In abroad, he served in Lisbon-Portugal, N’djamena Chad, Ottawa-Canada, Bujumbura-Burundi and Seoul-Republic of Korea.

 

In September 2017, he was appointed Nigeria High Commissioner to the Republic of Kenya with concurrent accreditation to the Republics of Seychelles and Somalia. He is also the Nigerian Permanent Representative to United Nations Office in Nairobi, United Nations HABITAT and United Nations Environment in Nairobi

 

In Nigeria, Ambassador Sheidu Omeiza Momoh served in various units and departments in the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was a Political desk officer in Africa Affairs Department, Economic desk officer in Bilateral Economic Cooperation Department,Protocol Department and Joint Commission, Trade and Investment Division.

 

As Director, Joint Commission, Trade and Investment Division he successfully led some of the Nigerian Technical negotiating Teams on Bilateral Agreements to several countries. He also represented Nigeria at various international conferences.

 

Between year 2004-2007 he was one of the pioneering Staff of the Nigeria National Volunteer Service (NNVS) domiciled in the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation during which he worked to propagate the acceptance and domestication of the enormous values of voluntarism in the socio-economic and human resource development of Nigeria.

 

Ambassador Sheidu Omeiza Momoh is happily married with his amiable wife, Shefi who remains a strong pillar in his journey in the Nigerian Foreign Service.
